A Chinese spends everything he has to build a garden that he gives to his lover

China-ALSHARQIYA  March 4: A simple Chinese young man found no way to express his love and passion for his lover except to build her an "island of love" in the hope that she would accept his marriage, before receiving a strong shock by his refusal.
"I am a young man named Zhou" who spent all his "lifetime" of about 16,000 dollars to build a singing garden on a small, barren island near Hito village in Guangdong Province, south China.
The 30-year-old said that he spent about 16 thousand dollars, which is all his savings, to make "Love Island", which is a beautiful garden full of flowers, especially those of cherry and peach trees, which symbolize love and adoration in Chinese culture.

According to media reports, it took him about a year to complete the construction of the park, which has very picturesque views, and he even hired a specialized team to build an arched bridge between the small island and the mainland of the village.
The garden also features a swing and a heart-shaped stone-paved path.
Chu's friend had decided to end her relationship with her loved ones after the latter's decision to leave the city in which they lived to return to his village in order to take care of his parents, who had reached an old age and were in need of care and attention from their only son.
Although the friend expressed that she was affected by the "romantic initiative" that Chu took, she refused completely to return to it, saying: "Thank you for your sincerity and feelings, and I hope you find a better girl than me."

On the one hand, the grieving lover said that he is a shy and introverted person and does not know how to express his feelings with soft speech, and that is why he wanted to express his love for his girl with actions.
Despite the sad end, however, that park has become a place of pilgrimage for lovers and tourists from different regions, and some of them offered to marry their friends there.
