Amnesty International: The Iraqi authorities must prevent the phenomenon of enforced disappearance

Baghdad-ALSHARQIYA  November 24: Amnesty International called on the Iraqi authorities to address the method of collective punishment and enforced disappearance of the displaced in Iraq.
The international organization said in a report that the Iraqi authorities must ensure that no one is punished for crimes committed by others and that all Iraqis can obtain civil documents. Internally displaced persons must be granted the right to determine their future, and any return must be dignified, safe and sustainable to avoid any occurrence. More violations
Amnesty International stressed the need for abandoning the policy of collective punishment to be an integral part of any national plans to close the camps, which are currently the only option to house thousands of people.
