Electoral Commission: Approval of 26 appeals against the election results

Baghdad-ALSharqiya, October 24: The Electoral Commission in Iraq continued to consider appeals against the results of the recent legislative elections, and announced the response of 790 out of 816 electoral appeals.
The commission confirmed in a statement that it had accepted 26 appeals, which it said were supported by evidence and documents, as the counting and manual counting operations would be conducted in about three hundred electoral stations in Salah al-Din, Baghdad, Basra and other governorates, under the supervision of observers and authorized persons of political entities.
The Commission added that the legal date for ratification of the election results is after the completion of the appeals process and its details.
