High oil: Brent is at 40.26 and the US is $ 37.58 a barrel

 Texas-ALSHARQIYA  June 5: Oil prices rose today, Friday, as traders awaited indications from an OPEC meeting that might take place early next week to discuss extending production cuts. Brent crude futures rose 27 cents to $ 40 and 26 cents a barrel, while futures contracts for West Texas Intermediate U.S. rose 17 Cents to $ 37 and 58 cents a barrel. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is likely to meet OPEC and allies, including Russia, in what is known as the OPEC + group tomorrow, Saturday to discuss extending production cuts.
