Iraqi Olympic hits the Maldives by four

Bahrain-ALSHARQIYA October 25: The Iraqi Olympic team defeated the Maldives team (4-0), this evening, Monday, at the Muharraq Stadium in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
This is part of the first round matches of the third group of Asian qualifiers for the AFC U-23 finals, which will be held in Uzbekistan next year.
The Iraqi Olympic quartet scored two goals: Muamel Abdul-Ridha (10), Ahmed Sarteeb from a penalty kick (34), and Wakaa Ramadan two goals (56 and 86).
With this result, the Iraqi Olympic team leads the third group of the Asian qualifiers temporarily, with three points.
The second round of Group C will be held next Thursday, where the Bahrain national team will meet the Maldives, while the Iraqi Olympic team will be waiting after Afghanistan withdrew from the qualifiers.
The first-placed team in each group will qualify for the finals, along with the 4 best second-placed teams in the 11 groups, to join the host Uzbekistan.
