Paris-ALSHARQIYA July 2 : Radio "Monte Carlo" reported on Thursday that Paris Saint-Germain had reached an agreement with Spanish defender Sergio Ramos.
The 35-year-old became a free agent after failing to reach an agreement to renew his contract with Real Madrid last month and leaving the club where he spent the last 16 years, winning four Champions League titles and five La Liga titles.
Radio "Monte Carlo" said that Ramos agreed to a two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, who finished second behind Lille, the champion in the French League, and was eliminated from the semi-finals of the Champions League against Manchester City.
Mauricio Pochettino's team has signed Netherlands midfielder Jorginho Wijnaldum from Liverpool, while reports said the French club is close to signing Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi.
Ramos missed a lengthy period last season due to injuries and was left out of Spain's European Championship squad, but said at the time of leaving Real Madrid last month that he wanted to prove his worth by continuing to play at the highest level.
