Qamishli tensions: Clash between US forces and the Syrian army

Al-Hasakah-ALSHARQIYA  August  17 : Clashes broke out for the first time between US forces and the Syrian army in the countryside of Qamishli in Al-Hasakah governorate, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Field sources reported that the clashes took place during an attempt by the Syrian army to prevent an American patrol from passing through the village of Tal Al-Dhahab in the southeastern countryside of Qamishli.
In the meantime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a Syrian army checkpoint intercepted a military convoy belonging to the American forces in the village of Tal al-Dhahab, and the matter developed into altercations between the two sides, followed by a raid by the American air force on the checkpoint.
