Resume all international sanctions against Iran

Washington-ALsharqiya September 20: The United States announced the resumption of all international sanctions against Iran that were frozen under the nuclear agreement.

 US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement that the resumption of sanctions comes within the framework of a process launched on August 20, explaining that the American side informed the presidency of the Security Council on that day of the grave violations by Iran of its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding its nuclear program. Pompeo stressed that the aforementioned process ended with the resumption of all sanctions stipulated in Security Council resolutions that were frozen based on Resolution 2231, and the Secretary of State denounced the UN Security Council’s refusal to extend the arms embargo imposed on Iran, stressing that the United States had taken a responsible decision, fortunately for the world.
