The capital club, Buenos Aires, said in a statement that "it will be the first time that the two clubs meet, as (in their ranks) Diego played, in this country in the Middle East, and it will be a way to celebrate the legacy of Mahboub (fans) who died on November 25, 2020".
The friendly match, called the "Maradona Cup", will be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the Marsool Park Stadium, which can accommodate 25,000 spectators, a year after the death of the "golden boy" on November 25, 2020.
 Maradona wore the Boca Juniors shirt twice, first in the 1981-1982 season and then in 1995, in his last two professional seasons in a long career.
Maradona also played in the Blaugrana club for two seasons between 1982 and 1984, where he played 58 matches and won the King's Cup, before moving to Napoli, Italy, where he achieved his footballing exploits.
Maradona, who won the World Cup in Mexico in 1986, and one of the most prominent players in the history of football, died at the age of 60 of a heart attack, just weeks after he underwent brain surgery, after suffering a blood clot.
