Cairo-ALsharqiya, March 21: The famous Egyptian writer Nawal El Saadawi died, on Sunday, after a struggle with illness at the age of 90. According to local media reports, El Saadawi was recently exposed to a health crisis, as a result of which she was transferred to a hospital. Al-Ahram newspaper quoted Mona Helmy, Najla Al-Saadawi, as saying a few days ago that her mother had difficulty swallowing food, which forced her to install a tube in the stomach to facilitate swallowing. Nawal El Saadawi, born in 1931, is an Egyptian doctor, writer and novelist, defending human rights in general and women's rights in particular.
