Baghdad-ALsharqiya, June 2: Iraqi President Barham Salih discussed today, Wednesday, with the heads of parliamentary committees, a draft law for recovering corruption proceeds. Saleh stressed, according to a statement by his office, that corruption is a serious scourge that threatens the country’s present and future, and that the draft law is a step that complements the basic role of the efforts of state institutions and the integration of roles and coordination between them in combating corruption and recovering the proceeds of corruption, in addition to proactive measures aimed at preventing corruption and subsequent procedures working to restore corruption funds and revenues and benefit from Successful international experiences in combating corruption.
