Thwarting Trump sending a parcel containing a highly toxic substance

WASHINGTON -ALsharqiya SEPTEMBER 20: Two law enforcement officials said that a mail package directed at US President Donald Trump was intercepted at the White House earlier this week, and that it had been confirmed to contain the highly toxic substance ricin.

Two tests have been run to confirm the presence of the toxin ricin in the parcel, and all White House mail messages are sorted and checked at an off-site facility before they reach the White House.

 The FBI and the White House Secret Service are investigating. Ricin is a highly toxic compound extracted from castor beans that have been used in terrorist operations.
