Ukraine defeats Sweden with a fatal goal

Washington-ALSHARQIYA   June 30: Ukraine toppled the Swedish national team in Glasgow, Scotland, on Tuesday, during their meeting in the European Football Cup quarter-finals.

The two teams played overtime with a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Ukraine advanced through Alexander Zinchenko (27) and Adel Emil Forsberg of Sweden (43).

This was the third extension in the eighth round after the matches between Italy and Austria (2-1) and Switzerland with world champion France (3-3 and the first won on penalties).

Thus, Ukraine will meet, on Saturday, in Rome with England, which beat its rival Germany 2-0 on Tuesday in its stronghold, Wembley.
