Umm Qasr Port: Precautionary measures to avoid a recurrence of Beirut Port explosion

Basra-ALSHARQIYA  August  12 : The security authorities and the competent authorities in the Iraqi Ports Directorate tightened their procedures at Umm Qasr port, and took precautionary steps for fear of a repeat of the massive explosion of Beirut’s port.
The director of Iraqi ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, told Reuters that Iraq's ports are now secured after being cleaned of any dangerous or explosive materials, adding that flammable materials have been completely isolated.
